I have always found the scent of Eucalyptus to be very relaxing and soothing. Eucalyptus can be used to treat a variety of ailments such as inflammation in the muscles as well as helping to ease symptoms of the common cold. If you are looking for a more herbal route to relieve a sore throat or sinusitis it is recommended to use gargle with water containing fresh eucalyptus leaves. I’m not a doctor so you should definitely check in with a medical professional if you have any questions regarding this process.

I actually use Eucalyptus in the shower. After seeing so many Youtubers hanging it in their shower I had to see what the hype was about. I went to my local florist and purchased $10 worth of Eucalyptus and hung it from my shower head. Some people like to hang it so that the water hits it, I hung it a little behind the water so it wouldn’t get drenched. I have to say my shower immediately had spa vibes after doing this. My bathroom had a lovely scent that was very nice to inhale. Inhaling the scent of eucalyptus is known to be a destresser and bring a calmness to the mind. The hot steam of the shower and the Eucalyptus created the most relaxing aroma. I can definately see how the essentials oils released from the plant can can help with congestion and inflammation.
If you’re interested in trying this DIY- Spa trick, you don’t need a lot of Eucalyptus to get the same outcome I had. The picture below is how much $10 worth of Eucalyptus looks like. A bundle of Eucalyptus should last about two months before drying out.
