I first became aware of Peace Out Acne healing dots last year as I was on the check out line at Sephora. I usually try to avoid looking at the mini items while paying for things at Sephora because I always end up adding an extra $30 dollars to my purchase. I couldn’t help but want to try out these dots after briefly reading the packaging. They contain Salicylic acid, which is the key component in removing bacteria and impurities from the skin. Although my skin has been in a better place since my consistent use of Paula’s Choice products, I still sometimes get a monthly hormonal blemish.
Whenever I feel a blemish starting I apply one of the healing dots and leave it on overnight. I have to say when I wake up I’m always pleasantly surprised about how less inflamed my blemish is after one night. It stops it in its tracks! The dots are perfect if a blemish pops up suddenly right before a big event like a wedding or photoshoot. I have heard of people wearing them throughout the day and changing them every few hours if they need the inflammation to be reduced quickly. Since these dots aren’t very flesh toned friendly for women of color I will only be using them at night. But I will say they have become a lifesaver and a staple in my Sephora orders! As far as how I incorporate them into my skincare routine, I apply them after cleansing, toning, and applying Paula’s Choice BHA Exfoliate. Once I apply my moisturizer I wait a few minutes before applying the dots so that the moisturizer doesn’t make the dots difficult to stay on. The dots stay on very well and I never wake up with them missing from my face.
Peace Out Acne has also expanded its line of products to AHA+BHA+PHA healing pads, Microneedling Dark Spot Brightening dots, and most recently a Salicylic Acid Serum. You can see a whole list of their products at Sephora.com.
