There are two things I don’t want to worry about while doing a burpee or a downward dog- if my leggings are seethrough and if I’m serving plummers crack because my leggings are riding down. Honestly, both have happened to me during intense workouts, unfortunately.
I work out pretty often, it helps me physically but most importantly mentally. Throughout quarantine it was one of the few things I would do to keep me sane. Throughout the past few years I have come to love a variety of workout brands. All of my favorites have one thing in common, they snatch everything in and keep everything in place.
When it comes to leggings I prefer higher waister leggings and try to stray away from black. I’m not sure if it’s just me but does anyone else feel like their black clothing gets lost in some hidden hole in your closet where all of your single pairs of socks are hiding out as well? Okay.. maybe it’s just me. I prefer bright colored workout leggings because they are easy to find when I’m looking for them.
As far as sports bras, like most women, I like a lot of support. There is nothing worse than doing jumping jacks or mountain climbers in a bad sports bra. I usually make sure they are really tight when I first buy them because I notice they stretch out after a while. I have also learned to not put my workout leggings in the dryer, it stretches out the waist and messes up the elastic. I always flat dry them so that they last a long time.
I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite workout brands below.
Victoria Secret
Victoria Secret started to slowly remove a lot of their activewear from their stores at the end of 2019. Although you can still find a lot of their workout gear online it’s hard to find matching sets like the one I’m wearing in the image below. I love Victoria Secret’s workout clothing because they aren’t super pricey and they fit very well. They also had a lot of fun patterns and colors. I have placed a link to similar animal print leggings from Victoria Secret here.
Beach Riot
Beach Riot activewear is another one of my favorites. They always have really nice patterns and the fit is perfect! A lot of their leggings have a surplice waist which I find very flattering. Beach Riot can be a bit on the pricer side with some leggings running around $98 and sports bra’s at 78$, but you can always find them on sale. I believe I found mine at Bloomingdales on sale. In this picture, I’m wearing Beach Riot leggings and a Forever 21 sports bras. I have to say Forever 21 to sell really great activewear. If you are looking for an inexpensive sports bra that still does the job, Forever 21 is a good go-to selection. Link to similar leggings from Beach Riot here and Forever 21 Sports bra here.

ALLFENIX
Another brand I discovered last year is Allfenix. I had never heard of this brand before finding them in Bloomingdales on sale. Although I don’t think Bloomingdales still sells the brand you can still find their activewear on their site. These leggings fit great and come up high enough where they don’t ride down during my intense workouts. A pair of Allfenix leggings range from $65 to $88 and their sports bras are $68. Again, I believe I purchased these on sale at Bloomingdales. You can find Allfenix leggings here.

ASOS
ASOS is another great place for activewear. I usually go for their ASOS 4505 High waisted leggings. These leggings sculpt your legs and tush. They fit very well and they have a lot of great patterns. I also love their ASOS South Beach double layer shorts. These shorts are very comfortable and because of the double layer, I can wear them during pilates as well as any boxing class. You can purchase the ASOS 4505 leggings here and the ASOS Southbeach shorts here. They only have one size left in these shorts but here is a link to similar double-layered shorts from ASOS here.
