With everyone’s lips covered by a face mask, it’s hard to justify buying a new lip color. I’m definitely guilty of purchasing lipsticks in our post-Covid world. If I have dinner plans I usually still wear lipstick and use this 3D- Bracket so that my lipstick doesn’t get on my mask. I don’t believe the current pandemic will mark the end of lipstick, there are still places you can go where you can take off your mask such as when you are eating or drinking. Lipstick can even brighten up your conference calls. I wanted to share my favorite lipstick shades.

This one of my favorite shades to wear in the winter/fall. Keep in mind this is a very matte color and you won’t have to worry about constantly reapply throughout the night. Make sure you apply lip balm before you apply this lip color.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Cream – $19.00
My love for Fenty cosmetics continues with their Gloss Bomb cream that was released in 2020. These glosses are creamy but don’t have that tacky feeling that a lot of glosses tend to have. Honey Waffles is one of my favorite shades, I can’t wait to wear it this summer. A definite brown girl-friendly shade.
MAC Cosmetics Gloss ‘Bitter Sweet Me” ($18.00) mixed with Milani “Double Espresso” ($5.99)
MAC’s gloss “Bitter Sweet Me” is my go to brown girl friendly nude. I’m always repurchasing this gloss when its running low because it provides great color pay off alone but can also serve as a great top gloss. I always pair it with Milani Double Espresso lipstick which is a beautiful deep brown.
Huda Beauty Lipstick “Pay Day”
I love Huda Beauty’s Power Bullet lipsticks for their color pay off as well as the luscious creamy feel it has when applied. This lipstick also comes in 25 different shades as well.
