I’m a self-proclaimed blush fanatic. I own a variety of blushes from Nars, Mac, and Colourpop. I love blush so much that when I step into a Sephora I have to tell myself to not even look at any blush palettes. Blush brings a warmth to my skin tone. Without it, my makeup isn’t complete. Now, I’m far from a makeup artist, I know how to do the absolute basics. You will never find me trying out a cut crease or a winged eyeliner because it will probably turn out terrible. haha
Now when Fenty dropped their cream blushes this Spring I had to take a look at what colors they were offering. Knowing how inclusive Fenty Beauty is, I wasn’t surprised at the variety of colors. Keep in mind when they launched I was in quarantine in New York with no place to go. If I did have to go somewhere I would have a mask on and no one but me would know I had blush on. But of course, I still had to have them! I ended up purchasing the colors “Drama Cla$$” which is a warm violet color and “Daiquiri Dip” which is a soft coral red.
In the past cream blushes just wouldn’t show up on my brown skin or would just have more of a greasy finish on my skin. These cream blushes have amazing color pay off. They are both very pigmented so its best to start off with a little and just build up. They also stay put and don’t disappear after a few hours. Fenty recommends their Face Shaping ($34) brush to apply this product but I just used my regular blush brush to build the color up. If you are interested in purchasing these cream blushes they are currently sold at Sephora for $20.00. I took some pictures so you can see the color payoff on my skin tone.
